    *Description*

    **$5,000 - Sign-On Bonus for Full-time externals, pro-rated for Part-time**

     

    Medical Practice RN Ob Gyn Department- Rhinebeck, NY 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

    Responsibilities:

    * Obtain all outside medical records and test results from referring physician

    * Review patient schedule with physician and plan for clinical day.

    * Clean treatment rooms and ensure that proper supplies are available.

    * Escort patient to treatment room and perform basic routine testing ( vitals)

    * Assist surgeons with entire patient visit, and biopsies.

    * Verify and complete Home Health Forms, disability, etc.

    * Provide Diagnosis and Procedure appropriate education materials and guidance to patients.

    * Clinical patient calls

    * Inform patients of results of testing and ongoing treatment plan, after review with physician.

    * Answer/Triage all clinical issues.

    * Ensures that patient have follow-up testing and appointment with physicians.

    * Develops a working relationship with referring physicians.

    * Assumes responsibility for patient flow with Radiology.

    * Ensures that patient have all information and questions answered about their health.

    * Assumes responsibility for tracking patient through radiology, lab, pathology and other testing procedures.

    * Assists physician with History and Physical for surgery cases.

    * Coordinates with the hospital unit for continuum of care and ensures patients receive proper follow-up care.

    * General Practice Duties

    * Provide telephone coverage

    * Assist office staff with filing and other clerical needs.

    * Assist surgeons with special projects.

    * Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect of all patients, family members, visitors, and hospital personnel as defined in the philosophy of Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

    * Displays a caring and courteous attitude and represents the hospital in a positive as noted

     

    above.

     

    * Promotes and contributes positively to intra-departmental and inter-departmental

    * relationships with no more than two complaints in a six-month period.

    * Maintains the confidentiality of employees and departmental information with no

    * infractions.

    * Demonstrates willingness to assist co-workers and/or to accept additional assignments as

    * requested to support the department efficiency as observed by the manager.

    * Responds to all managers requests for information and assists in a timely and courteous

    * manner.

    * Demonstrated a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when

    * dealing with people; uses tact, sensitivity and sound judgment at all times.

    *NY RN License required.*Working Conditions:

     

    Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

    Occupational: Some occupational risk

    Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
