Overnight Coordinator

The Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking adedicated and experienced Overnight Coordinatorfor our Emergency Shelter. This vital role ensures consistent floor coverage and oversees the overnight team to maintain a safe, clean, healthy, compliant, and client-centered environment.

The Overnight Coordinator will foster a team culture built ontrust, professional development, dignity, and respect, while promoting accountability and consistency across the overnight shift.

Education Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

+ Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a shelter or human services setting.

+ Strong organizational and communication skills.

+ Basic spreadsheet, scheduling and computer skills.

+ Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

Preferred:

+ Experience working with vulnerable populations.

+ Familiarity with trauma-informed care and de-escalation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide direct supervision and support to overnight shelter staff.

+ Ensure shelter operations are safe, clean, healthy, compliant, and client-centered.

+ Promote a culture of accountability, consistency, and professionalism.

+ Conduct regular walkthroughs and monitor shelter activities.

+ Address incidents and emergencies with calm and effective leadership.

+ Maintain accurate documentation and shift reports.

+ Support staff development through onboarding training and coaching.

+ Collaborate with day staff to ensure continuity of care and operations.

Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 Schedule: Saturday-Thursday; 11p-7a
