Job Title: Environmental Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager with over seven years of experience to support our growing environmental site investigation, due diligence, remediation, and compliance practice in our Metro Detroit office. This position is ideal for a seasoned environmental consulting professional who is motivated and desires to foster technical excellence and strong client relationships. As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work alongside a team of professionals dedicated to providing high-level expertise on complex projects above, below, and at ground level. You will represent us with clients throughout proposal, contract, and project performance phases, execute technical and financial aspects of projects, participate in marketing activities and networking events, and mentor junior staff. Our Project Managers have ownership opportunities with the firm, participate in profit sharing, and have the potential for advancement to principal levels.
Responsibilities
+ Manage project team, delegate to office and field staff, and execute daily project activities.
+ Handle project contractual and financial issues, including terms of agreement, changes in scope, and billing processes.
+ Mentor existing staff of project-level scientists and engineers.
+ Monitor team performance for compliance with contractual agreements and budgets.
+ Conduct site compliance inspections.
+ Prepare proposals and review/write environmental reports with Principal guidance and review.
+ Conduct and review technical analyses and calculations.
+ Participate in meetings and agency consultations.
+ Conduct internal and client communications.
+ Provide business development support.
+ Support projects and tasks outside of primary responsibilities as needed.
+ Travel up to 40%, including local and regional travel.
Essential Skills
+ Project management expertise.
+ Proficiency in remediation and site assessment.
+ Strong knowledge in Environmental Science and compliance.
+ Experience in Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) and Investigations.
+ Understanding of Federal and Michigan laws and regulations, such as CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Michigan Part 111/115, Part 201, Part 213.
+ Strong understanding of field sampling and investigative protocols.
+ Knowledge of contaminants fate and transport in subsurface.
+ Experience in conceptual site model development.
+ Experience in database and GIS is a plus.
+ Statistical review of data.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geological/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Sciences (advanced degree is a plus).
+ 7 plus years of project experience in environmental site assessment, investigation, and soil/groundwater remediation.
+ Experience at consulting engineering firms.
+ Possession or completion of 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
+ PE/PG/LSRP or other professional registration strongly preferred.
+ Self-starter, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to maintain strong client outreach.
Work Environment
The work environment is very collaborative and fun, emphasizing a One Company culture. The role involves flexible work hours and hybrid work options as needed. You will spend at least half of your time in the office, with the rest at various customer sites, including manufacturing facilities and construction sites. This position qualifies for ownership within the company and advancement to principal levels.

This is a Permanent position based out of LIVONIA, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
