Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team in a growing facility that manufactures engine and chassis components for the heavy trucking industry. Our plant, specializing in metal components and sub-assemblies, is seeking an experienced CNC Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to our upcoming projects and business expansions.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot machine issues and perform machine setups to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
+ Develop new parts for customers, including defining tooling and programming requirements.
+ Edit and refine existing parts, some of which may originate from sister facilities.
+ Make plant layout adjustments and relocate equipment as needed.
+ Engage hands-on with new business projects and programs on the manufacturing floor (40%).
+ Improve processes and troubleshoot issues to maintain operational efficiency (30%).
+ Conduct desk work, including programming and drawing using MasterCam and SolidWorks (30%).
+ Participate in daily huddles with the engineering team to discuss ongoing projects and strategies.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of experience with metal machining in a production environment.
+ Proficiency in CNC programming, with a preference for MasterCam.
+ Ability to set up CNC machines fully.
+ Experience in fixture design.
+ Familiarity with SolidWorks.
+ Competence in conducting root cause analysis for process improvements.
+ Experience with Control Plans and DFMEA's.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associates or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment is a temperature-controlled CNC shop with a shift from 6am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. The facility is expanding, currently housing 25 employees with plans to grow. When not on the manufacturing floor, you will work in an office setting alongside other engineers.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $45.67/hr.
