    Job Title: Quality Control Technician Job Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to monitor and review daily quality control activities, ensuring that all materials and products meet strict specification and quality standards. This role involves conducting quality assurance tests, documenting results, and collaborating with the Quality Manager to develop effective procedures.

    Responsibilities

    + Monitor and review the inspection and daily quality control activities for incoming materials, work in-process, and final inspections.

    + Conduct quality assurance tests and inspections on products.

    + Document and report any defects or issues found during inspections.

    + Collaborate with the Quality Manager to develop and implement quality control procedures.

    + Maintain accurate records of testing results and quality control measures.

    + Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

    + Test and process all raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods samples promptly.

    + Perform QA floor audits and analyses.

    + Document test results as required by the quality control testing procedures.

    + Evaluate test results and communicate deviations from product specifications to the QA Supervisor.

    + Submit samples for microbial testing and evaluation at contract labs.

    + Enter data into various systems and spreadsheets for QA program reporting.

    + Bake samples in the lab.

    + Perform pre-operation and changeover inspections, including collecting ATP swabs.

    + Enter test data and release products in the ERP (OLX) system, segregating and marking any non-conforming items.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED

    + 1 year of consistent work history in food manufacturing or quality control

    + Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends

    Work Environment

    This position primarily operates within a laboratory kitchen environment with frequent visits to a manufacturing plant and occasional visits to a warehouse. The first shift starts between 3am-4am, Monday through Saturday, with some Sunday work as needed. The dress code requires non-slip shoes, with all other lab attire provided. The role covers for a leave of absence and offers the opportunity to work in a stable industry where flexibility in work hours is valued.

    This is a Contract position based out of Pico Rivera, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.70/hr.
