GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all industrial processing equipment, production machinery and facilities. Provide support for rolling stock equipment. Maintains a safe and clean work environment for all employees and customers complying with organizational and OSHA safety standards, procedures and regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Compliance with WestRock safety rules.

* Knowledge of and compliance with OSHA regulations.

* Perform preventative maintenance according to company PM system and manufacturer\u2019s specifications.

* Troubleshoot and maintain motors, conveyors, electrical systems (if qualified), pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.

* Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.

* Repair and maintain rolling stock and facilities.

* Safely operate rolling stock, power tools and hand tools.

* Attend daily shift meeting to prioritize and daily tasks and minimize down time.

* Actively participate in plant safety program and Safety Committee.

* Maintain a safe a clean work area at all times.

* Perform other job duties as needed.

* Full time position (40 hours per week) subject to longer hours based upon plant need including weekend work as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High school diploma or G.E.D required.

* Industrial maintenance or heavy equipment experience required.

* Capable of operating hand, power and specialty tools.

* Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics.

* Basic understanding of electrical system.

* Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

* Team player and able to work with minimal supervision.

* Must pass a background check and drug screen.

* Alert, focused and detail oriented.

* Must be able to perform and train with hot work such as welding, cutting, brazing, and grinding.

* Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures and equipment manuals.

* Must have the ability to operate various pieces of mobile equipment.

* Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

* Must be able to maintain good attendance.

* Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
