    About the role

     

    As a Risk and Compliance Lead, you will make an impact by designing and implementing control frameworks that ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate operational risks. You will be a valued member of the Field Operations and Compliance team and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments and external stakeholders to safeguard business integrity and performance.

    In this role, you will:

    Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across environmental, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical domains.

     

    Develop and implement robust risk and compliance programs tailored to field operations.

     

    Monitor site operations to ensure adherence to legal and industry standards.

     

    Lead regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

     

    Investigate compliance issues, resolve root causes, and prevent recurrence.

     

    Provide training and guidance to employees on regulatory requirements and best practices.

     

    Stay current with evolving regulations and proactively update compliance programs.

     

    Represent the company in interactions with regulatory agencies.

     

    Prepare detailed reports and documentation on compliance activities.

     

    Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a holistic approach to risk management.

    What you need to have to be considered:

    5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in manufacturing, utilities, or industrial sectors.

     

    Deep understanding of environmental, occupational safety, mechanical, and electrical regulations.

     

    Strong analytical skills for risk assessments and root cause analysis.

     

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and stakeholder engagement.

     

    Proven leadership and collaboration skills to foster a culture of compliance.

     

    Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

     

    Proficiency in compliance software and tools.

     

    Familiarity with certification standards such as ISO 20000, 22301, 27001, 45001, and 9001.

     

    Experience managing risks in field operations involving multiple vendors.

    Technical expertise in regulatory frameworks and industry codes.

     

    Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex compliance challenges.

     

    Meticulous attention to detail in inspections and documentation.

     

    Organizational skills to manage diverse compliance programs.

     

    Understanding of risk impact in field operations and vendor management.

    Salary and Other Compensation:

    Applications will be accepted until 10/19/2025

    The annual salary for this position is between $93,000.00 - $104,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
