Shift:** **3p-11:30p, 3p-7p, occasional weekends

Summary:
Provides family-centered childbirth/perinatal education program for clients and families, throughout the childbearing year. Performs tasks (including but not limited to staff development, consultation, counseling, and community involvement) in a variety of clinical and community settings.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Ohio.
Currently a Certified Childbirth Educator (CCE) via a recognized certifying body of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (AANC), OR is eligible to become certified, and obtains within 12 months of the start date.
3 years of experience with educating clients/families in the childbearing years in a hospital or community-based environment.
Demonstrated evidence of ongoing/continuing personal education and professional development.
Willing to approach the responsibilities of this role with a mentality that embraces family-centered care and allows clients to define their family.
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
BSN preferred
Physical Requirements:
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Requires some exposure to chemicals.
