    HFM BOCES Alternative Education Program has an opening and is accepting applications for a 10-month, full-time, tenure-track Earth Science Teacher.

     

    Adirondack Academy is a program specifically designed to help students who have encountered obstacles in the regular school setting. ADK’s alternative education emphasizes small class sizes and close relationships with teachers, staff and administrators in order to build a sense of community. Adirondack Academy provides a fresh start for students looking for an opportunity to grow academically and socially.

    Job Qualifications

    New York State Certification required: Earth Science 7-12.

     

    TEACH Clearance

     

    Per Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required. Formal job offer/selection is contingent on ability to obtain a fingerprint security clearance through the TEACH system prior to working.
