    Sigma Defense is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our quality assurance efforts, ensuring compliance with established standards, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment through application of the 5S methodology.

     

    The ideal candidate will bring excellent organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems, and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy. Success in this role will depend on the ability to learn a variety of new skills and ask questions when encountering something unclear. We value technicians who understand not just how to perform QC tasks, but also why they’re being done, and how they support product performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. A solid grasp of precision and the purpose behind each test helps ensure issues are caught before they become problems.

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of experience in a quality technician or similar role is preferred.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

    + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and documentation processes efficiently.

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working with computers and digital file systems.

    + Familiarity with 5S principles and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to follow detailed procedures and work instructions with precision.

    + Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification when needed.

    + Experience with electronics or RF systems is preferred.

    + Experience with electronic components or RF (radio frequency) systems is preferred.

    + Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or working in a certified environment is preferred.

    + Must be a U.S. Citizen.

    Personnel Clearance Level:

    + Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.

    + Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

    Education Requirements:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

    Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

    + Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality standards.

    + Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed records using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).

    + Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconforming products.

    + Maintain compliance with 5S workplace organization standards.

    + Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to uphold product quality throughout all stages of manufacturing.

    + Monitor and maintain quality-related equipment and calibration schedules.

    + Participate in internal audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Support training efforts related to quality processes and procedures.

     

    Salary: $40,000 - $65,000 annually
