EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
The IT Director, Operations Technology will lead a diverse team of IT professionals, providing oversight and direction for all end-user support, enterprise system administration, ERP (Trimble Spectrum) support, and operational reporting initiatives. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations Technology and plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence across a team of 15–18 professionals. This leader will champion continuous improvement, foster a high-performance culture, and serve as a key partner to business and operations leaders. The IT Director will ensure that IT services are delivered efficiently, securely, and with a relentless focus on customer satisfaction. This position is based out of our Englewood, Colorado office and travels as needed team for meetings and business operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
_Leadership & Strategy_
+ Lead and manage a team of 15–18 individuals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
+ Partner closely with the VP of Operations Technology to execute strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and technology integration.
+ Provide visionary leadership and direction to the Helpdesk, ERP support, System Administration, and Reporting teams.
+ Develop and execute IT strategies that align with Mears’ business goals and operational needs.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT organization.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating business needs into effective technology solutions.
_Operational Excellence & Process Improvement_
+ Drive process optimization and standardization across IT operations, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and quality.
+ Implement best practices for IT service management (ITSM), incident response, and change management.
+ Oversee the development and maintenance of documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases to support operational excellence.
+ Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure high-quality service delivery and team accountability.
_Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement_
+ Champion a customer-centric approach to IT service delivery, ensuring timely and effective support for all users.
+ Engage with business units to understand their needs, gather feedback, and proactively address technology challenges.
+ Communicate complex technical concepts in accessible language for non-technical stakeholders.
+ Lead initiatives to improve user experience and satisfaction with IT services.
_ERP (Trimble Spectrum) & System Administration_
+ Oversee the administration, support, and optimization of the Trimble Spectrum ERP system.
+ Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and security across all enterprise platforms.
+ Collaborate with business and finance teams to support ERP enhancements, integrations, and reporting needs.
+ Lead system upgrades, patch management, and vendor relationships for critical IT infrastructure.
+ Operational Reporting
+ Direct the development and delivery of operational and business intelligence reports to support decision-making.
+ Partner with business leaders to identify reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
+ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in all reporting processes.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
+ 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing IT operations, helpdesk, or enterprise systems.
+ Proven experience managing ERP systems (preferably Trimble Spectrum) and enterprise IT infrastructure.
+ Demonstrated success in driving process improvement, operational excellence, and customer service initiatives.
+ Strong business acumen and ability to align technology with organizational goals.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Experience in the construction, utilities, and/or EPC industry preferred.
+ Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
