• Preventative Maintenance Technician

    Waste Connections (Sequim, WA)


    We have an immediate position open for a **Preventive** **Maintenance Technician** to work on our fleet of trucks at **Olympic Disposal in Sequim, WA.** Mechanics interested in secure, steady employment are encouraged to apply.

     

    At least one year of experience doing preventative maintenance on diesel trucks is preferred. This is a safety-sensitive position.

    Pay and Schedule:

    + Pay will beat $28/hr

    + Shift is **Monday - Friday from 9 am-6 pm**

    Responsibilities Include:

    + Completes required paperwork utilizing the fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documents parts usage, and accounts for repair times.

    + Ability to effectively communicate and understand service schedules and/or repairs

    + General shop maintenance/cleaning duties as needed

    + Equipment safety checks

    + Communicate with drivers for issues in the morning and afternoon

    + Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports

    + Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial vehicles, including yellow iron.

    Qualified candidates must have:

    + Experience in commercial or similar repair field is preferred but not required

    + Willingness to learn new skills and a positive attitude

    + Driver’s license

    + Basic tool set and toolbox

    + Basic computer skills and ability to learn test diagnostic laptop and software

    + **SAFETY SENSITIVE: YES (Drug Test Required)**
