Job Description

The Finance Manager of FP&A provides strategic financial leadership and guidance to management and top executives. This role is critical in protecting company assets, driving financial performance, and delivering key insights to support enterprise-wide decision-making for both short and long term. The Finance Manager of FP&A is responsible for assisting the overall financial health of the organization, including overseeing forecasting, budgeting, and monthly financial reviews. The role also includes mentoring finance team members and leading complex financial projects.

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Assist Sr Finance Director to lead the production and presentation of comprehensive financial reports, including variance and trend analysis against budget, prior period, and forecast. Drive the periodic forecasting process and annual budgeting for the overall company

• Advanced Analytical Support: Provide in-depth financial analysis to reveal insights and conduct root cause analysis. These data driven analysis provides strategic recommendations to executives, facilitating decision-making across all levels of management. Lead the development and continuous improvement of key performance indicators to enhance commercial and operational performance.

• Stakeholder Communication: Ensure that all financial reporting, forecasts, and insights are prepared for communication to internal and external stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and investors.

• System Integrity and Enhancement: Oversee the integrity and optimization of financial reporting software, collaborating with external consultants, and leading ongoing system testing and upgrades.

• Cost Management & Optimization: Lead sub-FP&A team members and partner with HR and functional leaders to manage SG&A, headcount, and short-term incentive plans (STIP). Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency across the organization.

• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop Financial Analysts and other finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis,

• Proven track record of strategic financial leadership, with a strong understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise management.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial software systems.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

• Highly organized, deadline-oriented, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. - Previous Leadership Experience

- transportation industry experience

- Experience with Hyperion, Oracle, Oracle EPM
