    Job Description Summary

    Unison is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls, accessories, and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace, Defense & Space segments.     As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in reviewing product quality throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring smooth departmental operations, and driving successful planning and execution. You’ll have the opportunity to work autonomously within established functional practices and procedures, focusing on delivering results within a structured operating discipline. While some decisions may require your judgment, you’ll have guidance and support to help you succeed.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage quality assurance activities within the production environment.

    + Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.

    + Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and products.

    + Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    + Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

    + Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices.

    + Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance and identify trends.

    + Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering).

    + Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience.

    Desired Characteristics

    + Experience in Aviation or Aerospace manufacturing.

    + Experience with AS9100 quality management systems and standards, including implementation, compliance, and auditing processes, is highly desirable.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

    + Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

    + Established project management skills.

     

    _This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
