Position Summary: Develop and expand the customer base of Clean Corp. Janitorial to provide employment opportunities to people with disabilities. Bachelor’s degree and new York state driver’s license required.

Clean Corp provides janitorial, landscaping, and other maintenance services throughout New York City and Long Island. It hires many people with mental disabilities so they are gainfully employed and may enjoy purposeful lives.
Essential Accountabilities.
1.Solicits business for Clean Corp by reaching out to internal and external sources that may be able to provide employment to people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities.
2. Must be able to develop a proposal and a proposed contract for potential employers, considering the costs of labor, machinery and supplies.
3. Must have excellent bargaining and negotiating skills regarding contracts.
4. Must be able to work closely with the Clean Corp Program Director to obtain knowledge of what types of employment should be sought for people with menta health and/or developmental disabilities.
5. Must be able to work closely with accounting so that the Clean Corp targeted budget is met. A background in accounting is a plus.
6. Must be proficient in computers systems and proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
7. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner.
8. Must remain informed of any changes in the State or local labor laws.
9. Must be able to work with governmental agencies that have contracts with Clean Corp, such as the New York State Department of Labor and the New York State Industries for the Disabled.
10. Chair internal meetings with other departments and develop and distribute minutes for those meetings.
11. Have a working knowledge of vocational services.
12. Attend job fairs, onboard new janitorial staff and interface with the WellLife Network Human Resources Department.
13. Knowledge of services for people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities a plus.
14. Knowledge of janitorial and groundskeeping procedures a plus.
15. Participate in career events and trade shows to network and obtain new business opportunities or employees.
16. Visit potential work sites to obtain relevant information such as scope of work, square footage, site limitations to healydevelop working proposals.
17. Assist Clean Corp Program Director on issues involving employees or vendors.
18. Must be able to market Clean Corp.
19, Maintain business relationships with current customers to seek greater opportunities for Clean Corp.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field. Strong written and communication skills require. Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate software. Must be self- motivated, confident, energetic, and creative. Access to a car and valid NY State License required.
