PDS Tech is seeking a skilled Maintenance Automation Technician to support one of our client’s advanced manufacturing operations. The perfect candidate for this position is results oriented, team player, self-starting, dynamic, flexible, and strongly motivated to succeed and deliver.

**Pay:** $38.60/Hourly (weekly pay)
**Shift:** 1:30PM to 10PM Monday - Friday / Rotating Saturdays (Occasional OT depending on workload)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated systems and equipment used in manufacturing or industrial operations. This role combines mechanical, electrical, and control systems expertise to ensure optimal performance of automation technologies such as PLCs, robotics, conveyors, sensors, and HMIs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Understanding of PLC principles and HMI.
+ Report issues to Maintenance Engineering of all findings (both new and existing processes).
+ Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair automated equipment.
+ Perform ongoing and scheduled equipment maintenance when needed.
+ Initial and periodic review / editing through Management of change, MOC program.
+ May be asked to participate in accident/incident reviews and develop corrective actions.
+ Create and maintain documentation for automated systems including schematics, manuals, and operating procedures as needed.
+ Responsible for housekeeping and 5S in respective area of work or areas as directed by the departmental supervisor.
+ Must be knowledgeable and capable of responding to emergency situations.
+ Inspects plant equipment for proper working conditions and safe operation.
+ Completes preventative maintenance sheets issued by scheduler/planner, maintenance lead mechanic, supervisor or maintenance manager.
+ Uses CMMS Maintenance System to document work order.
+ Records all parts needed and parts used for repairs.
+ Reduce unplanned stoppages through effective Root Cause Analysis.
+ Keeps accurate record of downtime of plant equipment.
+ Issues work requests for issues needing attention when equipment is down.
+ Cultivate (through active participation in the team) an environment that helps to build and strengthen the team concept and sets the culture of that Zero Safety Incidents, Zero Quality Defects, and Zero Preventable Stoppages is achievable.
+ Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
+ Read and interpret equipment manuals blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
+ Complies with all OSHA safety and health regulations.
+ Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Associate’s degree in maintenance technology and/ or technical trade certificate a plus.
+ Ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively with Managers, supervisors, and peers.
+ Safely comply with health, safety & environmental requirements education/work experience.
+ Experience maintaining a continuously operated chemical process.
+ Experience with LOTO.
+ 3 years minimum automation experience.
+ 5 years minimum mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair experience.
+ Computer interface experience (MS Suite, MI Software, SAP).
+ Must be able to operate a computer and a tablet (iOS and android).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Experience with Siemens s7 software
+ Technical Engineering Degree or Mechatronics, or extensive Mechanical Maintenance experience.
+ 3 years Mechanical Integrity experience.
+ 3 years’ experience performing industrial maintenance in a chemical plant setting.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents & drawings and write detailed repair reports.
+ Ability to learn and catch on quickly.
+ Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
+ Ability to lead others and experience in training others in predictive maintenance equipment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

+ Requires frequent (4 to 12 hours) standing, walking (on concrete surfaces), bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting, climbing, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead, (Or otherwise awkward positions necessary to fix equipment).
+ Ability to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with assistance, lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs.
+ Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly.
+ Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements; such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
+ Ability to work safely from a ladder.
+ Ability to operate a scissor lift, boom, and bucket lift and work at heights of up to 30 feet.
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
+ Work will require very fine dexterity, tactile sensitivity and extreme muscular control of the hands.
**Pay Details:** $38.60 per hour
