    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

    * The Accounts Receivable Clerk performs basic accounting functions that post and balance the daily ledger.

    ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS:

    * This position requires a high school education or an equivalent of a GED. Must be proficient at keyboarding.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Apply customer payments.

    • Research and solve payment discrepancies.

    • Process credit card payments and credits.

    • Make adjustments to accounts as needed.

    • Check the daily deposit before it is sent to the bank.

    • Other duties as assigned

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

    - Knowledge of personal computer and Microsoft office. A/P data entry for invoices.

     

    - Ability to use a variety of Office Equipment and Microsoft Office Programs.

     

    - Assigned projects by supervisor.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    * General working hours for this position will be from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime only approved through supervisor

    PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

    - Kneeling – bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

     

    - Crouching – bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

     

    - Sedentary work – exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body; prolonged periods of sitting.

     

    - Standing – particularly for sustained periods of time.

     

    - Walking – moving about on foot to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.
