Job Summary
TYLin’s Water Sector seeks a Principal Engineer/Senior Project Manager to join our team in New York City who will be responsible for expanding a sustainable operation consisting of planning, design, and construction services for municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure and facilities. The successful candidate will be familiar with the New York City market, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in a relevant client development enterprise.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You'll Do:
+ **Lead & Deliver Projects:** Serve as Project Principal or Project Manager on high-profile municipal infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
+ **Mentor Future Leaders:** Guide junior staff through TYLin’s **Pathways Program** , supporting their professional development and career growth.
+ **Grow Client Relationships:** Build, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with clients and prospects, translating connections into meaningful new business opportunities.
+ **Business Development:** Collaborate with the Water Sector Manager on pursuit strategies, proposal development, and formal presentations.
+ **Be a Visible Leader:** Represent TYLin and the Water Sector at professional associations, civic organizations, and industry events.
What You'll Bring:
+ **Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering** (or related field) and **Professional Engineer (PE) license** required.
+ 15+ years of progressive experience in the A/E/C industry.
+ Strong client development skills with established connections in the New York market.
+ Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative, practical solutions to complex challenges.
+ Recognized for integrity, collaboration, and inclusive leadership.
+ Committed to technical excellence and driving sustainable, impactful outcomes.

Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $197,600 - $296,400 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
