About the Role:
CBRE is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Union Engineer to join our team supporting a major telecommunications client. This is a mobile, field-based role providing crucial technical support and maintenance across various locations in Southern Illinois, including areas such as Mount Vernon, Troy, Cairo, and surrounding communities. As a member of the IBEW Union, you will be provided with a company van, tools, iPhone, and iPad, equipping you with everything you need to excel in this position.
As a CBRE Union Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team responsible for maintaining and calibrating critical equipment and systems at our client’s sites. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of their telecommunications infrastructure.
_This position is a union role and subject to the terms and conditions of the IBEW Collective Bargaining Agreement._

What You'll Do:
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve routine technical service issues and equipment failures.
+ Address and resolve significant network problems that impact multiple business locations, major network elements, or site outages.
+ Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of all required documentation.
+ Maintain and adhere to routine maintenance schedules, system configurations, and technical reference materials.
+ Participate in user training sessions related to system and application updates and enhancements. Develop and maintain training documentation.
+ Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to address complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
+ Coach and mentor colleagues, sharing in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and a broad understanding of related disciplines within the function.
+ Lead by example, demonstrating behaviors aligned with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and influence others to reach agreements.
+ Impact a range of customer, operational, project, and service activities within your team and related teams.
+ Work within established guidelines and policies.
+ Clearly and effectively communicate complex or sensitive information.
What You'll Need:
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of relevant job experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma.
+ Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
+ Must meet the physical demands of the role, including but not limited to: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise sound judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to approach existing solutions with a fresh perspective.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Strong organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
**Important Note:** Should any element of this Job Description conflict with the provisions of the applicable IBEW Collective Bargaining Agreement, the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement will prevail.
The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate for the Union Engineer position is $43.24 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
