Job Summary and Qualifications

A. Is the appointed Emergency Manager responsible for development and coordination of the hospital’s Emergency Operations Plan

through hospital wide collaboration and collaboration with community response partners. Is accountable for coordination and

implementation of the 4 phases of emergency management (mitigations, preparedness, response, and recovery), and the 6 critical areas

of emergency management (communications, resources and assets, safety and security, staff responsibilities, utilities patient clinical and

support activities).

B. Manages the Biomedical Engineering department and acts as contract liaison with GE to assure the safety and reliability of the

hospital’s medical equipment inventory.

C. Manages all construction, renovation, and equipment installation projects including space planning, developing/managing budgets, and

project management. Coordinates the work of Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Vendors to complete capital projects on time

and within budget.

D. Must possess strong leadership, organizational, problem solving, and team building skills.

E. Must be self-motivated able to work with minimal supervision.

F. Must be willing to continually improve skills and knowledge base through on the job training and continuing education.

What qualifications you will need:

Education: Bachelor of Science in AN Engineering Discipline or equivalent experience

Licensure/Certifications: AHA/ASHE - Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred

Experience: Minimum 5-years managerial experience in a healthcare setting
