Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Manager to oversee supply chain operations at our Brooklyn Park location. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the medical field and a passion for operational excellence. Our Materials Manager is the heart of the center & the right person will be adept at communication and support the greater team with supply planning & sourcing. Our MM must be willing to grow into leading the SPD area after successfully taking on the role of the Materials Manager.
The Materials Manager will be responsible for both the Materials Management role as well as the Sterile Processing Department. The Materials Manager will typically have 3-5 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage contracts and vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
+ Oversee inventory of medical and surgical supplies and instrumentation.
+ Coordinate with clinical teams to support surgical and procedural needs.
+ Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
+ Participate in the SCA Sterile Processing Department (SPD) program.
+ Partner closely with SPD for effective operations.
Qualifications
+ Minimum 1 year experience in materials or supply chain.
+ Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
+ Experience with contracts and vendor coordination.
+ Medical background required; familiarity with surgical supplies and instruments preferred.
+ Prior experience as a Surgical Tech or SPD Tech is beneficial, but candidates open to ongoing training (including SCA SPD program) will be considered
