    Daily Tasks:

Clinic Visits & Patient Intake: Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) collaborate closely with the care team to support both scheduled and walk-in patient visits. Their responsibilities include rooming a high volume of patients each day and conducting the intake process. This involves warmly greeting patients, collecting and verifying clinical data such as vital signs, health history, and medication lists, and ensuring accurate updates to the medical record. CMAs also administer appropriate screening tools as part of comprehensive patient care. Additional tasks may include administering immunizations, performing EKGs, and collecting blood and urine samples for Point-of-Care Testing. Furthermore, CMAs often assist providers with in-office procedures, ensuring patients are informed and comfortable throughout the process.

    Indirect Patient Care:

CMAs handle a variety of essential tasks behind the scenes to support clinical operations. These include responding promptly to patient calls, managing in-basket messages, processing medication refill requests, and communicating test results to patients in accordance with clinic protocols.
