    Zions is a seeking a **Risk and Control Assessment Analys** to join the Operational Risk Support team within Operational Risk Management (ORM). The Operational Risk Support team oversees bank-wide programs to help senior management in identifying, assessing, and monitoring key risks and related controls. Working in Operational Risk Management is a unique opportunity and establishes a great foundation for a banking career, as risk officers are exposed to the broad scope of the bank and its operations.

    Essential Functions

    The **Risk and Control Assessment Analyst** is responsible for working with team members to support the execution of the Bank’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA program. This includes:

     

    + Conducting independent review and challenge of RCSAs for quality and adherence to internal policies and procedures.

    + Contributing to continuous improvement of RCSA methodologies, tools, and governance practices.

    + Supporting training and guidance initiatives to promote RCSA program awareness and consistency.

    + _Performing ad hoc risk projects._

    + Documents quality review activities in a structured format, including recommendations and action items.

    + Validates action plans related to risk and control deficiencies.

    + Provides guidance and recommendations to stakeholders regarding the Bank’s RCSA methodology and approach, including risk identification techniques and control evaluation.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + Requires a Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field and some audit, risk management, compliance, financial services or other directly related experience.

    + A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

    + Basic knowledge of risk and control assessment techniques and concepts, and accounting principles.

    + Knowledge of bank and government regulatory requirements.

    + Must have good presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

    + Ability to effectively work on a team and with others in various leadership positions.

    + Strong interpersonal, problem resolution, analytical and modeling skills.

    + Knowledge of Microsoft applications and other databases, analysis, and reporting tools.

    + Project management skills are helpful.
