    Job Summary

    Provides mechanical support to assigned department to achieve production and quality goals. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

    Job Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    1. Support department production by keeping machines in proper working order.

    2. Review production machine performance on a continual basis.

    3. Maintain equipment to reduce down time by performing required PM’s.

    4. Order replacement parts as required.

    5. Identify and implement process improvements, using the CIR process.

    6. Assist with Engineering projects when required.

    7. Required to work during plant shut down periods to perform PM’s and assist with Engineering projects.

    8. Mentor new Mechanical Technicians.

    9. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

    + Standardization and configuration of assigned equipment according to specifications

    + Elimination of reoccurring equipment problems

    + Continuous improvements to equipment-related waste and quality performance.

    Education and Experience

    _Minimum Education :_

    + Required : HSD/GED

    + Preferred : Associates degree – Mechanical or other related technical field

    _Minimum Experience:_

    + · 3-5 years of related experience

     

    Knowledge and Skills

    _Basic or Simple KSA:_

    + Electrical

    + Computer

    _Proficient/Working KSA:_

    + Mechanical/Technical systems

    + Equipment troubleshooting
