My client is seeking a Staff Accountant to be focused on the accounting for mission-based projects. You’ll have an opportunity to work on diverse accounting functions and contribute to building the financial foundation of a rapidly expanding organization.

+ Prepare and maintain accounting reports to support the month-end financial close, including the compilation of accurate financial statements.

+ Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring smooth workflows and optimal cash flow management.

+ Prepare and monitor month-end accruals to ensure accurate revenue recognition that aligns with associated expenses.

+ Track and analyze recurring revenue while maintaining profitability reports by project.

+ Oversee the purchase order process and handle the setup of vendors and clients within NetSuite or other accounting systems.

+ Process invoices for timely payment and maintain meticulous financial records for compliance and documentation.

+ Recommend data-driven solutions for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and process streamlining to improve efficiency.

+ Collaborate on preparations for external audits and produce necessary documentation for financial institutions.

+ Regularly review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and accounting standards.

+ Assist with administrative tasks and provide critical support to other finance functions.

+ Contribute to ad hoc projects and perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance team.

Requirements

+ 2+ years of strong hands-on accounting experience, with a solid understanding debits and credits and how the financials tie together.

+ Proficiency in NetSuite is required

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to various stakeholders.

+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

+ Demonstrated experience in handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.

+ A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-growth environment.

+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and process improvement.
