Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical AR Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced private practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate billing, claim submission, and follow-up on outstanding balances.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm OR You will have the option to work 4 days, 10-hour shifts if preferred!

Responsibilities for the position include the following:

+ Review and process insurance claims using appropriate coding and billing guidelines.

+ Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances.

+ Resolve denials and discrepancies by working with payers and patients.

+ Post payments and adjustments accurately to patient accounts.

+ Communicate with insurance companies to verify coverage and resolve billing issues.

+ Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

+ Collaborate with front office and clinical staff to ensure accurate patient information and billing documentation.

Requirements

+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical billing preferred.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing/accounts receivable, preferably in a private practice.

+ Strong knowledge of insurance guidelines, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and EOB interpretation.

+ Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR).

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
