Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team near Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy of financial records and supporting key business decisions through precise reporting and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accurate recording of revenues, expenses, and balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Support audit processes by gathering required documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoicing and payment processing.

• Maintain detailed and organized financial records, both electronically and in physical formats as needed.

• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

• Develop and implement best practices for financial reporting and internal controls.

• Provide backup support for A/R and A/P processes when required.

• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as assigned by management.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting with attention to detail.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP.

• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger principles.

• Familiarity with corporate tax processes and compliance regulations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication skills and fluency in English.

• Ability to work in an in-office setting, Monday through Friday, on a long-term basis.
