    Description

    Our client is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Davenport or Burlington, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.     Responsibilities:

    + Troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure smooth operations

    + Design and implement networking hardware and services

    + Monitor network performance and address disruptions proactively

    + Maintain strong security protocols (firewalls, encryption, etc.)

    + Keep network documentation up to date

    + Communicate project updates and network status to stakeholders

    + Collaborate with teams to resolve technical challenges

    + Manage systems like Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and servers

    + Configure and maintain routers, switches, and other devices

    + Optimize backup and disaster recovery strategies

    Requirements

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

    • Proficiency in managing Windows and Mac systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.

    • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and configuration management.

    • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.

    • Familiarity with Cisco routers and backup technologies.

    • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.

    • Experience with Google Workspace and cloud platforms like Azure is a plus.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
