Required Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' or more work experience in operations, maintenance or construction of Transmission and Distribution System Equipment and a strong working knowledge of the High-Pressure Dielectric Fluid System or equivalent experience. or

+ Associate's Degree and 6 years' or more work experience in operations, maintenance or construction of Transmission and Distribution System Equipment and a strong working knowledge of the High-Pressure Dielectric Fluid System or equivalent experience. or

+ High School Diploma/GED and 7 years' or more work experience in operations, maintenance or construction of Transmission and Distribution System Equipment and a strong working knowledge of the High-Pressure Dielectric Fluid System or equivalent experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred. and 3 or more years' experience as a shift supervisor preferred

Relevant Work Experience

+ 5-7 years work experience in operations, maintenance or construction of Transmission and Distribution System Equipment and a strong working knowledge of the High-Pressure Dielectric Fluid System or equivalent experience. Required

+ Familiarity/knowledge of Transmission and Distribution electrical systems, i.e. - transformers, high voltage circuit breakers, control systems and basic relay protection is required. Candidates must possess a clear understanding of the High Pressure Dielectric Fluid System. Required

+ Must be competent in the use of Excel, Word and other Windows based programs and be able to write detailed reports. Required

+ Proven leadership and management skills to motivate colleagues and subordinates to effectively respond to Substation system needs. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required

+ Knowledge of Safety and Environmental procedures and practices needed to meet Company and Regulatory Requirements. Required

+ Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

+ Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday

+ Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday

+ Possess manual dexterity and the ability to use hands for the duration of the workday

+ Ability to read small print and symbols

+ Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends and holidays

Additional Physical Demands

+ The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

+ Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
