    Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Plans, designs and coordinates complex construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration of structures, facilities, equipment and/or other rail infrastructure systems.

    + Coordinates the activities of assigned project staff and/or contractors in the design, development and implementation of complex engineering projects.

    + Recommends standards and criteria for design and construction for complex engineering projects. Develops designs, proposals, schedules and cost estimates for assigned projects.

    + Evaluates progress and results of engineering activity and recommends changes in procedures of assigned projects.

    + Maintains liaison with individuals and units (internally and externally) to facilitate the completion of assigned projects.

    + Estimates human and other resources needs and schedules work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.

    Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

    + Baccalaureate Degree in appropriate engineering discipline

    Knowledge and Skills Required:

    + Three years of applied engineering experience, to include project management experience.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

     

    + Professional Engineer License in the state of New Jersey is desired.
