    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Bilingual (English & Spanish) MSHA & OSHA Certified Field Safety Technician to join our team. This role is critical in promoting a safe and compliant work environment at mining and construction sites. The Field Safety Technician will oversee safety programs, conduct inspections, provide training, and ensure compliance with MSHA and OSHA regulations, helping to foster a proactive culture of safety.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies in alignment with MSHA and company standards.

    + Site Inspections: Conduct routine safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.

    + Training & Coaching: Deliver safety training and guidance on hazard recognition and emergency procedures; maintain accurate training records.

    + Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents and near misses, document findings, and recommend preventative measures.

    + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with MSHA, OSHA, and company policies; stay current on regulatory updates.

    + Audits & Assessments: Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, recommending improvements where needed.

    + Communication: Act as a liaison between management and field personnel, promoting safety awareness and accountability.

    + Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, incidents, and training; prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.

    + Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans; ensure all personnel are trained on procedures.

    Qualifications

    + Education: Training in occupational safety and health or a related field.

    + Experience: 3+ years in a safety role within scaffolding, insulation, or related industrial services, with a strong focus on MSHA and OSHA compliance.

    + Certifications: Current MSHA & OSHA certifications required; additional certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR) preferred.

    + Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk management.

    + Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities; proven success working with diverse teams.

    + Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.

    + Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and navigate active construction and mining sites.
