Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop new features.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and bugs.

• Optimize application performance and scalability.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

• Work in a classic Agile environment:

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews.

• Use Jira for task tracking.

• Deploy code to lower environments (Dev, QA, Pre-Prod)

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java/JEE application development.

• Strong understanding of Java and core concepts.

• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Experience deploying code on a server, specifically AWS, and troubleshoot issues.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, React/Angular/VueJs).

• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Good problem-solving and analytical skills to convert requirements into working code.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java/JEE application development.

• Hands on development and team lead experience

• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Experience deploying code on AWS and troubleshooting issues.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, React/Angular/Vue.js).

• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Leadership & Collaboration

• Hands-on coding experience, including mentoring junior developers.

• Ability to write code at any time, not just delegate.

• Capable of creating high-level technical design documents for others to follow.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Support & Maintenance

• Ability to triage, debug, and identify root causes of production issues.

• Experience with performance tuning and application monitoring.

• Willingness to support any area of the platform, even if not the original author.
