    Job Description

    An employer is looking for a highly skilled Scientist 1 to join one of our largest national life sciences clients on their raw materials team for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role you’ll join a lab of 25 people but will work closely with around 5 individuals on a daily basis. In this role you’ll work to test raw materials that will be used in drug tablets; such as the raw materials used to create acetaminophen tablets our department tests the raw acetaminophen and inert fillers such as microcrystalline cellulose prior to these materials being assembled to a finished product. n order to be successful on this team you must have a degree in chemistry, microbiology or biology, and have 2-3 years of professional lab experience. You also must have a solid background in GMP specific to raw materials, Chromatography, specifically LC or GC and Compendial styles testing experience.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor of Arts or Science in chemistry, microbiology or biology

    • 2-3 years of professional lab experience

    • GMP background – unique to raw materials

    • Chromatography experience – LC, GC or both

    • Compendial (USP/NF or EP) styles testing experience

    • Familiarity with Empower • Hands on experience with Empower

    • Ion chromatography experience (Thermo/Dionex preferred but Metrohm also valuable)
