SUMMARY OF JOB

The Coding and OASIS Specialist ensures accuracy of patient data submitted to develop a patient’s comprehensive Plan of Care. This position is responsible for analyzing data integrity and consistency of OASIS documentation. This position will ensure appropriate ICD-10 coding and sequencing and OASIS accuracy. This position will be remote once training is completed.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

+ Must have good verbal and written communication skills and evaluation techniques and demonstrate knowledge of clinical skills, judgment, current professional practices and analytical capabilities

+ Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing organizational needs

+ Detailed oriented and able to work independently to meet deadlines

+ Demonstrated ability to motivate and educate others

+ Possess excellent customer service skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft office and other computer applications preferred

+ Ability to work flexible hours

+ HCS-D and COS-C certifications preferred. Otherwise, must demonstrate proficiency with the OASIS review and ICD-10 coding within 6 months and must obtain required certifications according to Agency requirements.

LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

+ Current RN state license

+ Three to five years home care experience
