**Schedule:** Full Time
**Shift** : Days - Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM
**Location:** Requires Travel across the West Florida Division 75% of Time - Hybrid schedule

The role you'll contribute:
Responsible for preventing, identifying, and resolving drug-related problems to ensure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction, optimize patient outcomes, and minimize costs. This position performs all functions of a registered pharmacist, including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interaction with the healthcare team, patient teaching, and supervision of pharmacists and technicians. Additionally, this role manages clinical practice and leads Pharmacy Clinical Divisions, including decentralized pharmacy practice, medication use systems, and patient-centered pharmacy services. In addition, this position integrates clinical pharmacy services, drug utilization programs, and pharmacy operations, ensuring medication use aligns with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards. Additionally, this role manages medication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, patient quality services, and disease outcomes programs. Responsible for educating staff, developing and enforcing institutional policies, managing resources, and participating in customer service while maintaining respectful relationships.

Pharmacy Practice and Clinical Management a) Manages and oversees pharmacy practice programs, directs patient care services, and medication systems to provide reliable, comprehensive, and individualized drug therapy that is aligned with patient needs, evidence-based best practices, regulatory standards, and budgetary targets. b) Effectively collaborates with other hospital departments and strategic business unit leaders to promote cooperation and efficiency in providing patient's pharmacy care needs. c) Provides departmental and institutional leadership for medical staff committees/meetings, hospital groups/task forces, and approved external programs/organizations. d) Serves as departmental resource and liaison to physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other hospital personnel and works closely with these individuals to establish quality infrastructures utilized within the department and throughout the medical center. e) Assists with preparation of an annual budget and manages assigned budgets and financial resources including stewardship, cost control, and restriction/surveillance programs.
Schedule and Labor Management a) Develops standards of performance to maximize staff roles in accordance with licensure. b) Manages, monitors, and evaluates staff performance in assigned pharmacy areas to ensure accuracy and quality of services, completion of all tasks, and mitigation and correction of deficiencies. c) Provides feedback and counseling regarding job performance including employee discipline if needed and completes performance appraisals for assigned employees. d) Manages schedules and staff requests for PDO (vacations and holidays) and adjusts coverage for sick calls or staff shortages. e) Monitors and reports usage of staff overtime, time and attendance deviations, and staff sick calls. f) Leads recruitment, interview, and hiring processes for staff in assigned areas. g) Maintains competent, skilled, and cooperative staff by coordinating training for new employees, coaching and mentoring of all employees, and routine professional development for all staff. h) Develops a harmonious and satisfied staff by facilitating rewards/recognition programs and engagement initiatives and taking actions that appropriately maintain positive employee engagement.
Clinical Pharmacy Staffing a) Actively performs all pharmacist functions and maintains active proficiency in clinical and operational programs, dispensing and compounding activities, hospital computer systems and medication ordering systems, and established standard work parameters. b) Works as an active member of pharmacy division and multidisciplinary team to collaborate with healthcare providers and decentralized pharmacy staff, places practice priority on the delivery of patient-centered care, and provides accurate, safe, timely, and appropriate medication therapy based on patient needs.
Performance Improvement and Quality Outcomes Management a) Monitors pharmacy practice performance, patient care services, cost containment activities, and budgetary performance via objective parameters. b) Proactively uses data analysis techniques to track, monitor, and communicate the clinical quality, operational, and financial outcomes of assigned areas and to benchmark performance against internal targets and against local and national best practices. c) Identifies, resolves, and reports short- and long-term obstacles to patient care and medication safety, regulatory compliance, or stewardship of resources. d) Identifies practice-related issues which require evaluation and facilitates clinical research projects, quality improvement initiatives, or healthcare provider education as needed to advance practice.
Professional Practice Advancement a) Serves as a preceptor/educator for pharmacy residency and student experiential education programs, including maintaining proficiency in the four preceptor roles and active education/mentorship skills, if applicable. b) Develops training experiences/competencies and creates new relationships for teaching and training opportunities. c) Maintains a sustained record of contribution to the total body of knowledge in pharmacy practice through internal/external presentations, publications, formal review for a peer-reviewed medical or pharmacy journal, and/or professional organization service.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:
Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other advanced pharmacy degree
5 Work Experience - Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) - Required
Licensed Pharmacist (RPH) - Required
