    We are hiring a Network Security Engineer to provide outstanding support for business units and customers. This requires operational experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls including adding ACL’s, NAT’s, and routing. The main focus for this position will be working cases that come into the network security queues for either troubleshooting connectivity issues or adding firewall rules to allow access for JH applications.

     

    This position may be worked remotely, but you must reside within 70 miles of one of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville, KY; Monett, MO; Springfield, MO. Hours for the position are 8am-5pm CT Monday-Friday, with an after-hours on-call rotation. May require occasional travel, up to 5% for meetings, trainings, or conferences. Salary range for this position is $66,500-99,000, depending on candidate experience and geographic location.

     

    All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

    What you’ll be responsible for:

    + Performs systems monitoring, log reviews and analysis to identify when system has moved out of compliance. Uses tools to determine appropriate actions to take.

    + Responds to alerts and security related issues.

    + Performs incident response; identifies unauthorized access to systems; may inventory computers for unauthorized programs and policy violations.

    + Installs and configures network security components.

    + Provides moderately complex troubleshooting and customer support regarding security related issues.

    + Provides support for security-related projects as assigned.

    + May perform other duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need to have:

    + Minimum of 2 years of firewall/IPS operations experience.

    What would be nice for you to have:

    + Operational experience with Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls

    + Operational experience with Splunk and Firemon tools

    + Bachelor’s Degree.
