    Here’s a Glimpse of the Job

     

    The Program Coordinator will be responsible for identification and recruitment of participants for a grant-funded, community-based research project and serve as a liaison between the research team and the community. This work supports the research mission of the university by increasing the quantity and quality of work conducted in the laboratory, which in turn, advances knowledge and serves the public good.

    Opportunities to Contribute

    + Conduct outreach through community events, community-based organizations, social media, and word-of-mouth.

    + Work with partnering community-based agencies and organizations to support participant recruitment.

    + Distribute and explain recruitment materials (flyers, consent forms, FAQs) to potential participants.

    + Distribute participant compensation, if needed.

    + Serve as a liaison between the research team and the community, ensuring open communication.

    + Document recruitment metrics and provide updates to the research team.

    + Provides assistance with data analysis, conference presentations, and scientific manuscripts

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Four years of related experience.

    + Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving (i.e., participant recruitment and data collection) and/or flying on commercial airlines (i.e., to attend conferences).

    + Ability to move and set up recruitment equipment/materials (e.g., folding tables, chairs).

    A well-qualified candidate for this position will also possess:

    + A bachelor’s degree.

    + Experience with community-based research.

    + Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Commitment to supporting a collaborative team environment.

    + Commitment to working with and ability to engage effectively with individuals exposed to trauma.

     

    Salary: $25.00 per hour
