    Are you a passionate and innovative nursing educator ready to help shape the future of healthcare? We are hiring for a proposed Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and seeking dynamic individuals to join our founding faculty. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the ground-up development of a cutting-edge curriculum, foster a vibrant learning environment, and prepare the next generation of compassionate and skilled nursing professionals.

     

    We are looking for an Assistant Professor of Nursing who is eager to build, innovate, and inspire within a collaborative and supportive academic setting.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with the Program Director and other faculty to design, implement, and evaluate the new BSN curriculum.

    + Develop and teach a variety of nursing courses, including didactic, lab, and clinical components, across the BSN curriculum.

    + Mentor and advise nursing students, fostering their academic and professional growth.

    + Participate in the accreditation process for the new nursing program.

    + Engage in scholarly activities appropriate for the rank of Assistant Professor, which may include research, publications, presentations, and grant writing.

    + Contribute to the service activities of the program, department, and university.

    + Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts.

    + Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice, education trends, and healthcare policy.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education - Doctorate in Nursing (PhD, DNP, EdD in Nursing or Higher Education) from an accredited institution.

     

    Education - Master's degree in nursing (MSN) from an a ccredited institution is required .

     

    Experience - Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (can be met through clinical instructor role) .

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    Knowledge of - Knowledge of nursing education, including teaching in baccalaureate nursing programs.

     

    Knowledge of - Knowledge of nursing education best practices, curriculum development, and accreditation standards.

     

    Skills in - Skills in communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

     

    Ability to - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

     

    Licensure/Certification - Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas or eligibility for licensure.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with new curriculum or program development.

    + Demonstrated experience with simulation in nursing education.

    + Experience with online or hybrid course delivery.

    + Evidence of scholarly productivity (e.g., publications, presentations, research).
