The Department of Molecular Physiology & Biological Physics, at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking applicants for a position as Research Assistant Professor on the tenure ineligible track with a focus on studies of iron metabolism in endothelium in the context of acute and chronic anemia. The ideal applicant will have doctoral- and post-doctoral level training in cell biology, pharmacology, endothelial physiology, genomic analyses, bioinformatics, and vascular biology in general. Applicants will be expected to pursue mentored opportunities to develop an eventual career as an independent investigator.
