    Electrical Apprenticeship Substitute Instructor

     

    Status: Part-Time

     

    Hours: Monday–Thursday; various hours

     

    Pay/Salary: $31.00–$35.00

    What You'll Do:

    Responsibilities of the Electrical Apprenticeship Substitute Instructor include, but are not limited to:

    + Delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab settings.

    + Supporting student growth through mentoring, regular feedback, and individualized success planning.

    + Ensuring your curriculum stays current and aligned with real industry expectations.

    + Partnering with fellow instructors, administrators, and industry leaders to maintain a high-quality learning experience.

    + Leading by example in professionalism, safety, and workplace readiness.

    + Actively participating in program development, accreditation efforts, employer advisory committees, and campus-wide events.

    + Demonstrating safety skills and the ability to use and maintain industry-related hand and power tools.

    + Interacting with high school students, parents, business and industry representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.

    What We're Looking For:

    We're seeking professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to excellence. Successful candidates will have:

     

    + Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent.

    + Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in the Electrical industry.

    + Industry Credentials & Certifications: Must be a licensed Journeyman Electrician or have comparable skills and experience.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.). Experience with Canvas and curriculum development is a plus.

    + Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in communication, time management, and organization to efficiently manage classroom and practical training responsibilities.

    + Attention to Detail: A keen ability to assess student performance, ensure industry standards are met, and maintain accurate records.
