    HVACR Apprenticeship Substitute Instructor

     

    Status: Part-Time

     

    Hours: Monday–Thursday; various hours

     

    Pay/Salary: $31.00–$35.00/hourly

    What You'll Do:

    Responsibilities of the HVACR Apprenticeship Substitute Instructor include, but are not limited to:

    • Delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in both classroom and lab settings.

    • Supporting student growth through mentoring, regular feedback, and individualized success planning.

    • Ensuring your curriculum stays current and aligned with real industry expectations.

    • Partnering with fellow instructors, administrators, and industry leaders to maintain a high-quality learning experience.

    • Leading by example in professionalism, safety, and workplace readiness.

    • Actively participating in program development, accreditation efforts, employer advisory committees, and campus-wide events.

    • Demonstrating safety skills and the ability to use and maintain industry-related hand and power tools.

    • Interacting with high school students, parents, business and industry representatives, and the general public in a professional manner.

    What We're Looking For:

    We're seeking professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to excellence. Successful candidates will have:

     

    • Education: A high school diploma or its equivalent.

    • Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in the HVACR industry.

    • Industry Credentials & Certifications: Must be RMGA and EPA certified.

    • Technical Skills: Needs to have expert knowledge of the HVACR curriculum.

    • Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in communication, time management, and organization to efficiently manage classroom and practical training responsibilities.

    • Attention to Detail: A keen ability to assess student performance, ensure industry standards are met, and maintain accurate records.
