Job Title: Asbestos Abatement Worker

Job Description

As an Asbestos Abatement Worker, you will play a crucial role in removing hazardous building materials from both residential and commercial structures. This includes tasks related to demolition, asbestos removal, lead paint abatement, and mold remediation.

Responsibilities

+ Remove hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead paint, and mold from various structures.

+ Conduct demolition work in a safe and efficient manner.

+ Wear personal protective suits and respirators while working in contained environments.

+ Perform tasks in confined areas and high-temperature conditions.

+ Execute heavy physical labor over prolonged periods.

Essential Skills

+ Active Asbestos Worker Certification ('Asbestos Worker Initial' 32-hour course).

+ Experience in asbestos or insulation abatement.

+ Understanding of OSHA 30, OSHA 10, and HAZWOPER regulations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in building trades, demolition, HVAC, water mitigation, construction, or remediation of asbestos, lead, or mold.

+ Ability to work in challenging environments and confined spaces.

+ Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally within the assigned region.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a construction environment focused on environmental safety.
