    Job Title: HVAC Technician

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and operating facilities equipment. You will be responsible for general, preventative, and emergency maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate, diagnose, analyze, and repair industrial HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, air handling units, VAV systems, hydronic systems, air compressors, air dryers, and exhaust ventilation.

    + Perform preventative maintenance and required calibrations on HVAC control and operating systems.

    + Install or repair ductwork, refrigeration piping, air conditioning units, and exhaust equipment.

    + Demonstrate skills in brazing, soldering, and welding.

    + Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) with experience in Automated Logic, Siemens, and Ignition.

    + Conduct periodic inspections of all mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.

    + Monitor and escort subcontractors performing work.

    + Contribute to day-to-day operations, including tasks outside of typical skill sets, such as restroom repairs.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician in industrial/commercial and/or lab/R&D environments.

    + Familiarity with HVAC and electrical codes.

    + Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) interfaces and devices.

    + EPA Certification required.

    + Experience with Automated Logic, Siemens controls, and similar control systems.

    + Technical ability in the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial HVAC systems.

    + Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associates Degree or Trade School preferred.

    + Extensive training in safety practices.

    + Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.

    + Self-directed with the ability to plan and organize work.

    + Professional demeanor with a strong customer focus.

    + Team player with a positive attitude and good work ethics.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based onsite at the Kato Fremont location, with travel to the Fremont Factory as needed. You will be part of a team of 15 technicians, excluding engineers. Shifts are available from 10 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work required. Another shift option is 4 pm to 1 am, offering flexibility in work hours.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fremont, California.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $50.00/hr.
