    Electrical Test Technician

     

    _Hanover, MD | $225-$25/hr | Contract-to-Hire_

     

    We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Test Technician to join our dynamic team in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility.     What You’ll Do

     

    As an Electrical Test Technician, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety and performance. You’ll work hands-on with switchboards and power distribution equipment, conducting rigorous testing and inspections to ensure compliance with UL and NEC standards.

    Your Responsibilities:

    + Perform electrical testing (dielectric, mechanical, control wiring) on switchboards.

    + Conduct quality inspections aligned with UL 891 and NEC standards.

    + Document test results and inspection findings with precision.

    + Monitor production for consistency and flag deviations early.

    + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues.

    + Recommend and implement corrective actions and process improvements.

    + Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.

    + Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

    + Support field testing and troubleshooting as needed.

     

    What You Bring

     

    We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive mindset.

    Essential Skills & Qualifications:

    + Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.

    + 2+ years of experience testing industrial electrical equipment.

    + Familiarity with UL 891, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards.

    + NETA certification or similar preferred.

    + Proficiency with Hi-pot testers, multimeters, and other inspection tools.

    + Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution systems.

    + Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and testing procedures.

    + Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

    + Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.

    + Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally.

    Work Environment

    + Brand-new facility with modern equipment and space for 200–250 team members.

    + Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and temperature changes.

    + Safety gear required: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, long pants (thicker material preferred).

    + Rotating 2-2-3 shift schedule: 6 AM – 6 PM.

    + Initial training on a standard Monday–Friday schedule.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
