Description
The client provides after market refurbishing and service to gearboxes - They are looking for an mechanical design engineer to come in and support their team to ensure they can meet their client demands. - The shop will clean up the gearbox that is coming in for service. - The engineer will then go out onto shop floor and inspect the gearbox for what needs to happen for those to get refurbished - The engineer will then spec out the job and input BOM into their ERP system (EPICORE) - Once the job gets approved, they will then begin their engineering work which will include the below -- - 3D modeling in Solidwork (Must be able to expand, extrude, and put holes into drawings) - 2D sketches in Solidworks - Calculations (FEA, Load Analysis, Stress Analysis) - GD & T (geometric tolerances)added to drawings - Spend 50% of time in shop

BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 4+ years of experience with Solidworks (MUST VALIDATE THIS WITH A REFERENCE) 4+ years with MS Suite 3+ years with rotating elements (pumps, turbines, gears, or compressors)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.
