Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

In this position, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for being the face of the facility to the customer. This is a hands-on role where you will collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure the quality of your assigned program. You will be tasked with resolving customer complaints through root cause analysis on the production floor.

Responsibilities

+ Manage customer concerns through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and part sorts.

+ Lead all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) efforts, reviewing and updating as necessary.

+ Develop and maintain process flow diagrams.

+ Create and manage process control plans.

+ Handle Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.

+ Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA).

+ Develop manufacturing work instructions.

+ Create quality inspection instructions.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in any field.

+ 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive industry.

+ Experience communicating with OEM customers such as Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, and Honda.

+ Proficiency in performing root cause analysis and identifying causes of quality defects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with GM or Ford is highly preferred.

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a well-lit and clean manufacturing floor with a new extension added to support the GM truck product line. The position will primarily be on the production floor, with some office work. The plant is expanding, with new equipment and lines being introduced.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.50 - $42.00/hr.
