    Job Title: Junior Program Assistant Project Manager Job Description

     

    The Junior Program Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with the project and program teams to assist with program milestones and input data into MS Projects. This role involves managing project data and tasks in partnership with the project management team to ensure that all project data is documented effectively. The role also includes working with the program/project management team on all documents using MS Projects and Power BI.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist the Project Management department with documentation and MS Projects.

    + Manage project data and tasks in collaboration with the project management team.

    + Ensure effective documentation of all project data.

    + Utilize MS Projects and Power BI in partnership with the program/project management team.

    + Contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of projects.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of relevant aerospace experience (strongly preferred).

    + Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace Degree strongly preferred, but open to Mechanical, Manufacturing, and other disciplines).

    + Relevant experience in MS Projects.

    + Schedule planning and project management skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in aerospace engineering, avionics systems, and defense aerospace.

    + Knowledge in project engineering, AS9100, cost management, budget management, and program management.

    + Skills in project coordination and engineering.

    + Opportunity to grow into a junior project manager role.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is a small site with office space, assembly, and lab areas located in a modest office building within a small business park near Maxar Technologies. The company is a space avionics and sensor systems company with a customer base in commercial, space, and defense markets. The work revolves around the total success of missions, with activities including the development, manufacture, and testing of video systems integrated into satellites, rockets, and spacecrafts. The company has been involved in over 150 successful missions, including major space missions such as the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station, and NASA's Artemis program.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
