    Job Title: Tooling Engineer Job Description

     

    As a Tooling Engineer, you will evaluate program and project requirements, developing complex equipment and tooling concepts to enhance the Production System. Your role will involve compiling and analyzing technical data to assess its impact on product engineering design and rate estimates. You will also identify robotics automation or technology recommendations and system integration for equipment and tooling.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements.

    + Validate contractual performance milestones and maintain configuration control.

    + Conduct reviews and prepare plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.

    + Conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel.

    + Develop and implement work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware, software, and documentation.

    + Perform studies and make recommendations for tooling design and disposition.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5+ years of tool engineering experience.

    + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    + Experience in tool engineering or design engineering.

    + Proficiency in tooling drawings and modeling in a 3D environment (CREO or CATIA).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in fixture design, engineering, and manufacturing engineering.

    Work Environment

    This is a full-time, on-site position with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role does not offer a hybrid or remote work option. There will be no requirement for travel, and no personal protective equipment is needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, Louisiana.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
