    Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

    Job Description

    Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) using SolidWorks. This role involves developing detailed designs, creating prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop detailed designs and layouts for AGVs using SolidWorks.

    + Create and analyze prototypes to ensure they meet design specifications and performance standards.

    + Collaborate with other engineers, clients, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality designs.

    + Conduct technical research and use engineering principles to design mechanical systems and components.

    + Perform detailed mathematical calculations to establish manufacturing and installation standards.

    + Test, evaluate, modify, and re-test products to ensure reliability and efficiency.

    + Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and documentation.

    + Provide technical advice and support to junior engineers and other team members.

    + Ensure designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + 5+ years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.

    + Proficiency in SolidWorks with 5+ years of experience.

    + Experience in designing automated equipment for an automation integrator.

    + Experience working within SolidWorks Vault/PDM.

    + Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Tooling Design using UGNX.

    + Previous experience designing AGVs, GD&T.

    + Familiarity with other CAD software such as AutoCAD.

    + Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
