Job Description:
We are looking for a data-focused Reliability Engineer to fix and prevent warranty issues. This role is crucial for improving product quality and customer happiness. This role will provide an opportunity to be hands on and interactive with the production floor but will also provide opportunities to flex your brain power to identify innovative solutions to complex issues.
Scope and Function:
Support and/or complete medium to high level, complex engineering tasks/projects as assigned to meet business objectives and support product lines for the food service industry.
One or more of the following as required by the Business Unit:
+ Analyzing warranty data using statistical methods to find patterns and trends in warranty claims. This includes identifying specific failure modes, and linking them to product designs, manufacturing batches, or suppliers
+ Investigates and eliminates the root causes of warranty issues using problem-solving methods like 8D and 5 Whys.
+ Conceive, plan, develop, & coordinate projects as an individual contributor or as a member of a cross-functional team.
+ Create and develop engineering project documentation, i.e. bill of materials, drawings, and specifications.
+ Focused on standard QA activities like auditing manufacturing processes, developing test plans, work instructions and using statistical process control (SPC) to monitor quality on the production line.
+ Maintains and tracks a comprehensive list of all calibrated test equipment, including their varying calibration dates, to ensure accurate data for reliability analysis and UL compliance
+ Research and provide the required product information to support sales, service, and marketing to satisfy customer needs
+ If the issues are related to third-party components, the engineer will work with suppliers to address quality problems and potentially use warranty data to recover costs.
+ Primary point of contact for quarterly UL inspections and is responsible for updating and understanding UL reports to ensure all product lines remain compliant.
+ Support assembly and manufacturing operation. Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance to resolve production issues

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
+ Travel less than 10% of the time
+ Hands on testing and/or troubleshooting
+ Ability Lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ 100% on-site role
**Education/Experience:** Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – BSME Preferred (ABET accredited College/University) 3-5 years of mechanical engineering
competency in a manufacturing environment
+ Autodesk Inventor experience a plus but not required
+ Epicor experience a plus but not required
+ Food equipment experience preferred
Compensation Information:
Exempt Salaried: $80,000 - $90,000
